The Malone Civic Center in Malone, NY, is seeking proposals from qualified mechanical contractors to furnish and install a new ice rink chiller system, complete with fluid cooler, circulating pumps, and associated hydronic accessories including piping, fittings, fixtures etc. The design requires careful coordination of mechanical room space, electrical integration, and specific piping configurations to ensure optimal performance and future redundancy. Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond issued by a surety company which shall insure the Owner to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal or a certified check to be used by the Owner to insure the Owner in lieu of a bond to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal. Proposals less than $100,000 must be accompanied by a certified or bank check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal. A performance and payment bond will not be required from the selected contractor for proposals less than $100,000. However, the Owner may require another form of security for faithful performance. Sample forms for bid, bid bonds, performance and payment bonds and construction contract documents are included in this package. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds.
