Renovation of a military facility in Fort Benning, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The Contactor shall perform all work as described below per the project documents, contract, drawings, specifications, and any addendum issued by the Government for completion of this work. Estimated Period of Performance: 180 days Work Description: Replace roof system in entirety and to make necessary repairs of any deficiencies in conjunction with roof replacement. Return site to pre-construction condition. Summary: Building 2837 is an approximate 39,602 square building on Main Post. Remove the existing EPDM roof and replace with new TPO roof at Building 2837 (6470 Way Avenue, Fort Benning, GA 31905). Upon removal of existing roofing material, repairs to the roofing system shall be made as necessary. Any existing mechanical units atop the roof that will need to be removed and replaced during roof installation. All exhaust hood vents and plumbing vent stacks shall remain. Other work required to complete this work may consist of repairing and/or replacing gutters/downspouts, insulation, flashing, soffits, curbs, drains, rotten wood, louvers, roof vents, roof exhausts, antenna, caulking, sealant degradation, lightening protection, etc. Importance is also placed on ease of future maintenance and longevity of the roofing system.
