**As of June 21, 2023, project was awarded to Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc., awarded amount is $100,025,879.10.** The scope of work consists of 0.4 miles of corridor widening with retaining walls and new pavement markings to provide a minimum 8-foot shoulder, where possible, and accommodate a new 11-foot lane. Widening will require right-of-way acquisition, utility relocations, and structural modification of two bridge structures Gulick Avenue Overpass and Kalihi Stream Bridge. Structural modifications include widening, relocating bridge abutments, and upgrading sub and superstructures. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The estimated cost of construction is between $75,000,000 and $80,000,000.
