Summary Project Description: The project consists of a new Police Station for Chesterton Police Department, Chesterton Indiana located at 790 Broadway Avenue, Chesterton, Indiana. It will provide a new station for police activities. The building will be a two-story structure of approximately 10,850 sq.ft. for base bid. The base bid configuration will include a Public Access Lobby with ballistic protected perimeter walls featuring a public access desk at the wall to Records and a Unisex toilet open to the public. Within the secure perimeter, the First Floor will feature a Training Room, Unisex toilets, a Patrol Room, a Processing room with Interview and Holding rooms and Armory and the Sallyport. The Second Floor features the Police Chief and Assistant Chief's offices, Investigative Department bullpen and offices, 2 Interview Rooms, Evidence Storage, a Fitness Center with Locker rooms and showers, a Unisex toilet, a Kitchenette Breakroom. .
