Pursuant to this Request for Proposals (RFP), Islamorada, Village of Islands ("Village") is currently soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide residential and commercial solid waste, yard waste and recycling collection and disposal services to the Village. The Village utilizes the web-based notification and delivery system to advertise public solicitation information to potential customers, consultants and other types of vendors, as well as the general public. The RFP and all subsequent addenda will also be published on the Village website on the Purchasing/Bids page. Potential proposers are advised that downloads from the Village website cannot be tracked, therefore the Village encourages website users to check the website frequently for addenda or other documents published in relation to the RFP. Potential proposers are encouraged to utilize the system to ensure receipt of notifications during the bid process. Interested firms are invited to submit Proposals for consideration in accordance with this RFP to the Village Clerk. Original signed Proposal Documents, an electronic copy in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, and six (6) hard copies of the Proposal Documents must be received The Proposal Documents shall be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope or box and be plainly marked on the upper left hand corner with the name and address of the Proposer and bear the following title: "Islamorada, Village of Islands, Residential and Commercial Solid Waste, Yard Waste and Recycling Collection and Disposal Services, RFP No. 23-05." The Village will not accept Proposals received after the specified time and date. All requests for information or clarification regarding this proposal shall be made in writing and submitted to the Village Clerk at clerk@islamorada.fl.us no later than March 24, 2023. Inquiries, clarifications or requests for interpretations received after this date and time will not be responded to. This procurement shall be exempt from any local preference as described in Section 2- 327(e) of the Islamorada, Village of Islands Code of Ordinances, and as specifically provided for in Sections 2-327(e)(4) and 2-327(e)(5).
