Site work and paving for a civil project in Morinville, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.
Starkey Road Pathway Pedestrian Bridge and Pathway Project. The shared-use path is planned for the west side of Starkey Road from the existing Bellerose River Walk to Sturgeon Road, with connections to the Lower Viscount Estates and Bristol Oaks neighborhoods. It is then proposed to continue east along Sturgeon Road to connect with the existing pathway along Sturgeon Road East as well as west along Sturgeon Road to the St. Albert municipal boundary. Engineering scope of work: 1. The design of the pedestrian bridge crossing the Sturgeon River west of the existing vehicle bridge (exact location TBD by the consultant in consultation with the County) and connecting to the Bellerose River Walk on the north bank. 2. The proposed new asphalt shared-use path with the four major segments being: a. The primary segment on the west side of Starkey Road from the existing Bellerose River Walk to Sturgeon Road, with connections to the Lower Viscount Estates and Bristol Oaks neighborhoods. b. The second segment along Sturgeon Rd from Starkey Rd to the existing pathway along Sturgeon Rd East . c. The third segment along Sturgeon Rd from Starkey Rd to River's Gate Plaza existing pathway. d. The fourth segment along the Sturgeon Rd from River's Gate Plaza to the St. Albert boundary. TIMELINE: Design is underway. Tender and construction are anticipated in 2024.
