The City of Keene is seeking bids for the 2023 Sidewalk replacement project. This project will consist of the following: a. North Lincoln Street from Roxbury Street to Beaver Street (both sides), approximately 568 S.Y. of 4" and 8" thick concrete sidewalks. b. Main Street/ NH Route 12 from 250 feet south of Silent Way to Greenwood Ave, approximately 580 S.Y. of 4" and 8" thick concrete sidewalks Any Bids submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. All BIDS must be made on the required BID Sheet ofUnit Prices showing Unit Price and Total and a Grand Total for all items. All blank spaces must be filled in, in ink or typed, and the BID Form must be fully completed and executed. Only one copy of the BID form is required. A conditional or qualified BID will not be accepted. The City expressly reserves the right to reject a bid from any Contractor who has within the last year, or is currently not, in substantial compliance, as determined by the City Manager, with the time requirements or other significant provisions of a City ofKeene contract. This provision shall in no way be construed to prohibit the City Manager from rejecting any bid for other reasons. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive technical or legal deficiencies, and accept any proposal that it deems in the best interest ofthe City Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening ofBIDS or authorized postponement thereofupon written or verbal request ofthe Bidder, provided written confirmation of any verbal withdrawal (with the signature ofthe Bidder) is placed in the mail and postmarked prior to the time set for Bid Opening. Bid documents and security of any Bidder withdrawing his bid in accordance with the foregoing conditions will be returned. Bids, when opened, shall be irrevocable for a period of ninety (90) calendar days following the bid opening date. Following a review of all bids by the City Manager, that official will award the Contract to the best responsible bidder. The City Manager'sjudgment shall be final and the right is reserved by the City, through its City Manager to reject any or all bids as he/she may determine and to waive defects in form or minor irregularities where the best interest ofthe City would be served. Each BID must be accompanied by a BID bond payable to the OWNER for five percent ofthe total amount ofthe BID. As soon as the BID prices have been compared, the OWNER will return the BONDS of all except the three lowest responsible BIDDERS. When the Agreement is executed, the bonds ofthe two remaining unsuccessful BIDDERS will be returned. The BID BOND ofthe successful BIDDER will be retained until the payment and performance BONDS have been executed and approved. A certified check may be used in lieu of a BID BOND. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed" as follows: 60 calendar days for substantial completion 90 calendar days for contract completion Liquidated damages will be in the amount of: $ 500.00 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion $ 500.00 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for contract completion The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification ofthe acceptance of his bid Engineers Project Estimate: $301,500
