Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Schoharie, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,600-square-foot parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.
For the following branches or subdivisions of work: General Construction; Mechanical and HVAC; Plumbing; Electrical. Any bid received after the time and date above stated will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Each Bid must be made upon the prepared bidding sheets, in duplicate, furnished with the Contract Documents, and sealed within an opaque envelope. Obtaining hard copy print sets of bid documents is the responsibility of the Bidder. Bid Documents may be viewed at the BOCES offices at 900 Watervliet Shaker Road Albany, NY 12205, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekdays. With the bid submission, each Bidder shall furnish a Bidders Bond of a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of New York or a certified check payable to the Owner in the amount of 10% of the Bid. No Bid will be considered which is not accompanied by such Bond or certified check. Written responses shall be forwarded electronically to all Bidders by close of business on March 24, 2023. the Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Construction of a pre-engineered metal building to serve as a garage for the storage of heavy equipment utilized in BOCES Heavy Equipment Operation, Maintenance and Repair program. 2. Construction of associated and additional site improvements, including the construction of a dedicated egress lane and parking lot reconfiguration. 3. Other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. 4. One set of documents is issued covering all multiple Prime Contracts. Each Prime Contractor is to review all drawings and specifications for complete understanding and knowledge of the work. 5. All Prime Contractors are responsible for all work under their Contract no matter what drawing on which that work appears. 6. All Contractors must conform to any applicable codes including, but not limited to, OSHA, Federal, State, Local, and/or Owner requirements. 7. Each Contractor shall be responsible for proper and adequate manning of the Project and their respective Work as per the Project Schedule. Inability or unwillingness to properly man the Project shall not be accepted as an excuse for failure to meet the Project Schedule. 8. Contractor shall understand that time is of the essence and will adequately man the job to successfully complete the Contract Work in accordance with the Project Schedule. The option to work extended hours and weekends shall be the Contractor's and shall be at the Contractor's expense.
