Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fullerton, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.

The time of completion of contract shall be thirty (30) working days as defined in the Standard Specifications for Public Works, 2021 Edition. Liquidated Damages, as defined in the referenced specifications, Section 6-9, shall be $600 per calendar day. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $280,905. The City intends to issue a Notice to Proceed on or before May 15, 2023. Contractor will take full responsibility for completing all precursory requirements necessary for this issuance. For this contract, the contractor shall possess Classification A license at the time the bid is submitted. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Fullerton, for an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount bid, such guarantee to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. In addition, a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid, and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid shall be required of the successful bidder prior to entering into a contract. The Work shall consist of, but not limited to, removing and constructing concrete hardscape, constructing accessible pedestrian ramps, removing and construction of new asphalt concrete pavement, installation of new drinking water fountain, removing, adjustment of valve boxes, water pollution control, and all related work. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding, and to accept any bid or portion thereof, by order of the City Council of the City of Fullerton.
