Station # 61 was originally built in 1974 and included 3 engine bays, offices and living quarters for the growing fire department. The station was renovated in 2008 and is now undergoing a face lift. Station 64 was originally built in 1995 and included 2 engine bays, offices and living quarters. The station has not been painted since and is now undergoing a face lift. The City is seeking an outside Contractor to perform exterior painting services to complete this project. Station # 61 is located at 1685 Providence Blvd., Deltona, Florida. Station #64 is located at 236 Ft. Smith Blvd., Deltona, FL. The successful Contractor shall comply with all City Purchasing Rules and Regulations. The City of Deltona reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals and to make the award to that Bidder/Respondent, who in the opinion of the City will be in the best interest of and/or the most advantageous to the City. The City of Deltona also reserves the right to reject the bid/proposal of any vendor who has previously failed in the proper performance of an award or to deliver on time contracts of a similar nature or who, in the City's opinion, is not in a position to perform properly under this award. The City of Deltona reserves the right to inspect all facilities of bidders/respondents in order to make a determination as to the foregoing. The City of Deltona reserves the right to waive any irregularities, informalities, and technicalities in offers received, and may, at its discretion, request a re-bid, or abandon the project/procurement in its entirety. This Invitation to Quote includes surface preparation and painting of the exterior of Fire Station 61 and Fire Station 64, including the porch railings at Station 64. The Contractor should verify the square footage of the building with a site visit and shall be given an opportunity to do so by appointment. All work shall be accomplished by skilled work persons familiar with and trained to do this type of work and they shall be further qualified to operate or use the equipment or rigging needed to accomplish this work. The Contractor shall assign only skilled and experienced craftsman to perform the work. This quote shall be awarded only to a responsible bidder, qualified to provide the work specified. All shrubbery, landscaping, and sprinkler systems shall be fully protected by the contractor, against damage, drips and splatters during each stage of the painting project.Pre-finished items that shall not be painted include the following factory finished components i.e. light fixtures. All substrates not designated to receive paint coatings shall be kept free of paint residue and over spray, e.g. windows, walkways, driveways, floors, light fixtures, etc.Contractor shall not paint over UL, Factory Mutual, or other code-required labels or equipment name, identification, performance rating, or nomenclature plates. Note: Contractor shall provide surface-applied protection for items 2 and 3 prior to paintingContractor shall remove or mask hardware and hardware accessories, plates, machined surfaces, lighting fixtures, and similar items. Signage and address markers shall be removed for cleaning and painting. Following completion of painting operations in each area, items shall be reinstalled by workers skilled in the trades involved.
