Arnold Street Reconstruction: Contract 2023-01 includes the reconstruction of W. Arnold Street, from St. Joseph Avenue to 700 west. The reconstruction of this existing street will include: partial replacement of the existing sanitary sewer mains, replacement of sanitary sewer laterals, replacement of the existing water mains and services, partial replacement of existing storm sewer, and installation of pipe underdrain; along with street improvements including fabric, Breaker-Run Stone subbase, crushed aggregate base course, concrete curb & gutter and driveway approaches, along with traffic control, erosion control, turf restoration (from back-of-curb to front-of-sidewalk), and pavement marking. This project does not include sidewalk repairs or replacements. Asphalt pavement will be done by others. Arnold Street will be closed for this reconstruction, however, pedestrian access must be maintained to residential properties at all times. B Central Avenue Colored Concrete Crosswalk Replacement (2nd Street to 17th Street): Select existing colored concrete crosswalks shall be replaced as indicated in the plans (spreadsheets) and per the discretion of the City Engineer. The amount of said crosswalk replacements that can be accomplished is limited by the budgeted funds for this project (cost of work to be completed cannot exceed budgeted amount). The scope of this project includes full-depth sawing, careful removal of existing colored concrete panels without impacting adjacent concrete surfaces/joints, drilling dowel and tie bars, re-pouring 9-inch colored concrete pavement, and traffic control.
