The facility is in need of regular maintenance and upgrades. This request is to ensure that funds are available to maintain, repair and upgrade systems and features in the station. This is the City's primary EOC and is in need of updating. Including improvements to security, room configuration, and ensuring the facility can operate without power (reliance on generator) for multiple days. Other needs include, but are not limited to: roof replacement, carpet, room redesigns, expansion of kitchen, day and office areas, drive through bays, vehicle exhaust systems and technology system upgrades. This project is included in the City of Mount Vernon's FY 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
