Renovation of a detention facility in Bethel, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The Alaska Department of Corrections is requesting proposals for design services for the construction of an approximately 6000 square foot enclosed recreation facility and enclosed walkway with lighting, heating and ventilation, security cameras, fire alarm and fire sprinklers. Base bid shall include all aspects of constructions including a geotechnical survey, civil and site work, architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering. Respondents to the RFP shall have a minimum of 10 years documented experience with the design and construction of buildings in an arctic environment. Pre-proposal questions should be in writing and received by the procurement officer no later than close of business March 29, 2023 to allow adequate time for the issuance of an addendum if needed. Anticipated period for performance-Begin/End: May 1, 2023 through August 31, 2023 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
