For Brookside Elementary School Unit Ventilator Replacement The Project generally consists of replacement of the existing unit ventilators on the second floor of Brookside Elementary School. This work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Removal and disposal of existing unit ventilators, shelving, accessories, etc. 2. New electric wiring, reconfigurations, and connections to existing. 3. Installation of new unit ventilators including all louvers, utility connections, controls, louvers, etc. 4. Modification of exterior walls for new louvers. 5. New perimeter shelving. 6. All other associated work as shown on the drawings and specified herein. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Keith A. Rosado, Business Administrator at Westwood Regional Board of Education, 701 Ridgewood Road, Township of Washington, NJ 07676, with the name of the project, "Brookside Elementary School Unit Ventilator Replacement Project" plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Confractor Registration Act as to the Bidder and all subeontractors. All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affrmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-l et seq. and may be fimded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the SDA, which, if applicable, will be available for inspection at the Board offce during business hours. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days from the opening of the bids. The Westwood Regional Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education.
