The City of Wasco is seeking the services of a qualified, experienced contractor to resurface and coat the trickling filter center column and arms for two trickling filters at the wastewater treatment facility.

his project scope includes but is not limited to rehabilitation of existing trickling filter arms and
center column: removing trickling filter arms and center tower, transporting unit for shop
preparation, resurfacing, coating and painting, and reinstallation of arms and center column.
TRICKLING FILTER SPECIFICATIONS
o Arm diameters of 95'
o Two trickling filters
o Color to be determined.
o Only one trickling filter shall be out of service at a time.
o Cleaning, sandblasting, preparation, inspection and painting shall be conducted off-site in
a climate-controlled facility.
o Shop preparation of the steel substrate shall be to SSPC-SP10/NACE 2: Near -White
Metal Blast Cleaning.
o If more than 30% reduction in original steel thickness is noted, the City shall be contacted
to verify so that the City can plan for arm replacement.
o Shop coat using spray application of 3 coats of ANSI/NSF 61- certified epoxy @ 12 mils
total dry film thickness (DFT).
o Holiday detection and inspection in accordance with SSPC-PA2.
