The project consists of the installation of three temporary bridges and structural repairs. The work includes embankment construction, aggregate base, structural repairs, approach work, riprap placement, guardrail installation, pavement marking, and other miscellaneous work. The project will be split into multiple work schedules/contract options, with the cost of the entire project expected to fall within the price range of $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. The Representations and Certifications must be completed online proposes to performtemporary repairs to three water crossings on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Two of the crossings will involve temporary repairs to bridges (Route 70 Bridge and Route 7025 Bridge) and one crossing will involve repairs to a historic masonry culvert (Route 669 Culvert). All three structures are in overall poor condition according to the most recent bridge and culvert inspection reports and have been posted with reduced load limits. The proposed project would perform temporary repairs at each structure to maintain traffic flow and road user safety. The proposed repairs at all three sites would consist of the placement of a temporary Bailey bridge installed to span across the existing bridge or culvert structure at each location. Additional repair work at each location would include installation of temporary bridge substructure components, asphalt paving, approach work, utility relocation, and other miscellaneous roadway/approach work as needed.
