Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Taylor, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a golf course; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Reference Number 0000342498 Project No. 233906 Job Location 25505 Northline Rd, Taylor, MI 48180 & 25360 Ecorse Rd, Taylor, MI 48180 The City of Taylor invites bids for the renovation/restoration of their two golf courses; Lakes of Taylor Golf Course and Taylor Meadows Golf Club. The following is a summary of the project. 1. The scope of work includes: Lakes of Taylor Golf Course A. Tees - New forward tees built on 4" of mix are to be added per the plans. The range tee is to be expanded, squared up and leveled. B. Bunkers - A complete bunker renovation with all new or rebuilt bunkers built using the Better Billy Bunker construction method. A handful of bunkers are being removed. See plans for detail. C. Drainage - Miscellaneous drainage improvements as shown on the plans. D. Irrigation - An allowance has been provided for irrigation repairs / retrofits. The golf course contractor will be responsible for completing the work. Taylor Meadows Golf Club A. Pond Expansion - The irrigation pond on #1/8/9 is to be expanded. Excess soil to be used to create mounding. Soil boring logs have been provided for reference. B. Tees - New forward tees built on 4" of mix are to be added per the plans. C. Bunkers - A complete bunker renovation with all new or rebuilt bunkers built using the Better Billy Bunker construction method. A handful of bunkers are being removed. See plans for detail. D. Drainage - Extensive drainage improvements throughout the course as shown on the plans. E. Irrigation - Plans for the repairs / retrofits have been completed by Spartan Distributors and are included. An allowance has been provided for irrigation repairs / retrofits. The golf course contractor will be responsible for completing the work. 2. Construction Schedule - The City would like to complete the work as soon as possible. Please provide a preferred schedule for completing the work in 2024 or 2025. The City will also consider schedules finishing in 2026 if the earlier dates aren't feasible. Note, the goal is to keep the courses open during construction with one or two holes utilizing a temporary green while the work is being completed. Late Summer/Fall and Spring are the preferred construction seasons. Please try to avoid construction during the peak summer months (Mid-May through Mid-August).
