The Levy County Board of County Commissioners hereby gives notice that bids will be accepted from FDOT prequalified bidders for the following work: Sidewalk construction along the CR 40 corridor. The project includes approximately 0.8 miles of new sidewalk along CR 40 from US 19 to Sapp Street and 0.2 miles of new sidewalk along 56th Street from Riverside Drive to CR 40. Construction also includes maintenance of traffic, erosion control, earthwork, asphalt pavement, drainage, curb and gutter, signalization, signing and pavement marking, sodding, and other associated work. 210 days will be allowed for construction. No interpretation of the meaning of the Specifications and/or Scope of Services or contract documents will be made to any interested bidder orally.Every request for such interpretation shall be made in writing, with reference to the appropriate bid number and emailed totretheway-ali@levycounty.org. All requests for interpretation or corrections shall be received no later than April 4, 2023 at 5:00 PM. Award, if made, will be based on the apparent lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the actual work intended, including selected alternates, if any, as determined by the County. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid, in the form of either a certified check, cashiers check, trust company treasurers check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Bid Bond, made payable to the Levy County Board of County Commissioners, must accompany each bid. A check or draft in an amount less than five percent (5%) of the actual bid will invalidate the bid. All work is to be done in accordance with the Plans, and Special Provisions to accompany the July 2022 Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as amended by Contract Documents. An entity or affiliate who has been placed on the discriminatory vendor list may not submit a bid to Contract with a public entity for the construction of a public work as set forth in Florida Statute Chapter 287.134. Any person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a public entity crime may not submit a bid to or Contract with a public entity for construction of a public work as set forth in Florida Statute, Chapter 287.133.
