The Town of Burlington, MA, DPW - Engineering Division in conjunction with Weston & Sampson invites bids for the service described in the Public Works specification for Sewer CIP Phase 10 and 11 Rehabilitations The scope of work includes: Base Bid: Open cut repair of 23 lf of sewer; replacement of one (1) sewer service connection; chemical root treatment of 1,358 lf of sewer; cleaning, inspecting, testing and sealing of 5,973 lf of sewer; installation of 69 lf of cured-in-place short liners; installation of 5,720 lf of cured-inplace pipe and reinstatement of 45 service connections; inspection, testing, and grouting of eight (8) service connections; cutting of one (1) protruding service connection; cementitious lining of 317 vf of manholes; epoxy lining of 213 vf of manholes; and replacement of two (2) manhole frames and covers. Alternate Bid No. 1: Chemical root treatment of 275 lf of sewer; chemical root treatment of one (1) sewer manhole; cleaning, inspecting, testing and sealing of 3,608 lf of sewer; installation of 40 lf of cured-in-place short liners; installation of 1,359 lf of cured-in-place pipe and reinstatement of 21 service connections; inspection, testing, and grouting of seven (7) service connections; cementitious lining of 194 vf of manholes; and grouting and patching of two (2) lined manholes. Alternate Bid No. 2: Chemical root treatment of 53 lf of sewer; chemical root treatment of four (4) sewer manholes; cleaning, inspecting, testing and sealing of 4,100 lf of sewer; installation of 68 lf of cured-in-place short liners; installation of 1,578 lf of cured-in-place pipe and reinstatement of 27 service connections; inspection, testing, and grouting of six (6) service connections; cutting of two (2) protruding service connections; cementitious lining of 143 vf of manholes; and cleaning and inspection of 135 lf of sewer. Alternate Bid No. 3: Chemical root treatment of 228 lf of sewer; chemical root treatment of one (1) sewer manhole; cleaning, inspecting, testing and sealing of 3,310 lf of sewer; installation of 24 lf of cured-in-place short liners; installation of 543 lf of cured-in-place pipe and reinstatement of one (1) service connection; inspection, testing, and grouting of four (4) service connections; cementitious lining of 189 vf of manholes; grouting and patching of one (1) lined manhole; building one (1) bench and invert; and cleaning and inspection of 69 lf of sewer. The Bidder shall make positive efforts to achieve: (1) a minority employee work force goal of 15.3 percent, (2) a woman employee work force goal of 6.90 percent, (3) a goal of 7.24 percent participation of Minority-owned Business Enterprise(s), and (4) a goal of 3.60 percent participation of Woman-owned Business Enterprise(s) within project contracts. All MBEs and WBEs shall be certified with the Supplier of Diversity Office (SDO).
