The City of Topeka Property Maintenance Unit is soliciting bids from qualified Contractors for mowing ("jobs"). "Mowing" services include mowing, trimming, edging, and removal of vegetation from private properties. The City intends to enter into a written agreement with multiple contractors submitting pricing for the work described in these specifications. Work performed under the resulting contracts will consist of furnishing all labor and equipment as described herein. The intent of this bid solicitation is to bring properties in violation of the City of Topeka Municipal Code (TMC) into compliance. On an annual basis, the estimated quantities of jobs is approximately 800 - 1,000 properties total. The mowing season during each contract period will commence the first full week of April and end the first full week of December of each respective year. The initial term of the resulting contract(s) will be for a one year period from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023 or until cancelled by either party with a sixty (60) day written notice. The contract(s) may be renewed for two additional one-year terms under the same terms, conditions, and pricing as mutual agreed upon. During any subsequent renewal term, either party without cause may terminate the agreement by giving a sixty (60) day written notice of termination to the other party.
