Procurement Name: Archaeological Services - Heritage Resource Impact Assessment Procurement Number: COSe23-0037 Procurement Description: The City is excavating for water and sewer projects across the municipality. The Saskatchewan Heritage Conservation Branch has identified excavating projects as heritage sensitive and requires a Heritage Resource Impact Assessment (HRIA) involving archaeological monitoring by a qualified archaeologist, as the project may damage or disturb archaeological sites within the project limits. The work may include, but is not limited to, the following items as described below: o Review background information; o Conduct field investigations; o Obtain the required permit(s) and submit site(s) for archaeological work to the Saskatchewan Heritage Conservation Branch; o Conduct the HRIA; and o Report the results of the HRIA to the City and to the Saskatchewan Heritage Conservation Branch. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be awarded April 2023 The RFP timetable is tentative only and may be changed by the City at any time. The term of the agreement is to be for a period of until January 31, 2024. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
