**As of May 12, 2023,Ther project is going to be done in house by the Town of Shalimar. ** Shalimar Police Department - Renovation Architect will transmit to all prospective bidders of record such Addenda as Architect considers necessary to respond to questions arising at the meeting. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding. A Bid Bond payable to the Town of Shalimar for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid but not more than $10,000 shall be filed with the proposal, the Bidders Bond being prepared on the forms specified and signed by a Bonding Company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Poly, Inc., 102 Sunset Lane, Shalimar, FL 32579, 850-609-1100. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 112, Florida Statutes, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect (Engineer); the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owners judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The Owner further reserves the right to negotiate price and time with the low bidder.
