PROJECT DESCRIPTION major elements include 2500 SF Pre Engineered Metal Building, 36,000 Gallon above Ground Diving Tank, and 40 X 40 Elevated Concrete Slab. The Port Damage Repair Trainer (PDR/T) is intended to provide an accurate analog for battle damage assessment and expedient waterfront facilities repair training for the Naval Construction Force (NCF). The trainer should include replicated damage to pier pilings, pile caps and pier deck, seawalls/quay walls, pile bracing, fenders systems and mooring hardware installation. It should provide an opportunity to practice expedient underwater repair tasks such as underwater cutting, welding, bracing, light salvage, rigging, underwater excavation, concrete placement, demolition, and pile encapsulation. It should provide an opportunity to practice expedient topside repair tasks such as installing mooring hardware, fenders, deck repairs, and pile cap repairs. The trainer should have a confined training tank for diver's fundamental skills training and an open water component for skills application. The trainer should have design packages allowing terrestrial and underwater construction to occur simultaneously to better replicate the major combat operations environment.
