The City of San Juan Capistrano (City) is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to prepare plans, specifications, right of way maps/plats, legal descriptions, and cost estimates for the Arguello Way Beautification Project. The Arguello Way Beautification Project will, in general, consist of the construction ofwidened sidewalks on Camino Capistrano, landscaping, irrigation, storm drain, utilities, ADA ramps, enhanced paving, installation of scrambled crosswalks and enhanced lighting, to provide for a more pedestrian friendly downtown adjacent to the City's train station, parking structure, and the Historic Los Rios District The selected consultant shall develop final Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) based on the conceptual design and coordination with the City. Special attention will need to be paid to the design of new ADA improvements that will join the existing sidewalks at Camino Capistrano. Proper drainage design will be required for the newly designed curb and gutter and sidewalk at west side of Camino Capistrano at Arguello Way.
