Site work for a water / sewer project in Clayton, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Contract consists of the construction of approximately 520 lineal feet of pipe sewers, varying in size from 21" to 24" in diameter, and appurtenances to be constructed. The removal of existing sewer and installation of new sewer as part of this project cannot begin until the conclusion of certain work to be performed by others. The 30" SAN located at approximately Sta. 0+11 (19K4-101S:19K4-102S) must remain in service until the completion of some particular work items under construction on another MSD project "11793 Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel (Clayton Rod. To RDP)." That project, 11793, is under construction by SAK Construction, LLC. The Contractor must leave that 30" SAN in service and shall not remove, disrupt, or excavate that pipe without written authorization from MSD. The Contractor shall anticipate not receiving said authorization until at least August 31, 2023 and shall anticipate not constructing other upstream sewer "out of sequence." After authorization is received, Contractor shall coordinate with MSD and with SAK Construction, LLC regarding the abandonment and removal of that 30" SAN. The Contractor may mobilize to the project area for the purposes of survey, clearing, storing materials, locating or protecting or relocating utilities, or any other necessary purposes before receiving authorization to remove that 30" SAN pipe.
