Stafford County Public Schools reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Base Bid (Main Roof): Remove the existing asphalt shingle roofing down to the plywood sheathing and associated flashings and install a new standing seam metal roofing system and associated flashings. 2. Base Bid (Gymnasium): At the Gymnasium, remove the existing asphalt shingle roofing system, plywood roof deck and sleepers (part of the original "nailbase") down to the surface of the existing insulation; and, remove associated flashings, including gutters and downspouts. Install a new layer of insulation, new plywood and high density insulation with a new standing seam metal roofing system and associated flashings. 3. Base Bid (auxiliary sheds): At two sheds, located on the west side of the building, relocate the southern shed (beige) to provide adequate create space between the two sheds; no re-roofing work will be completed on the beige shed. (No gutters or downspouts) Remove existing asphalt shingle roofing system on the northern shed (blue) down to plywood sheathing and associated flashings and install new underlayment and a new standing seam roofing system and associated flashings. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Stafford Schools, and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the Bids.
