Construct a landfill cell complete with an access road and ramp, clay liner, composite lining system and leachate collection system as well as final grading at the West Yellowhead Regional Landfill located approximately 4 kilometres SW of Hinton, Alberta on Hwy 47 (SE-32-50-25-W5). .1 Work under this contract includes construction of Cell 8 including an access road and ramp. The scope of work incudes the following: .2 Excavation of Cell 8 to design subgrade .3 Separating and stockpiling topsoil, subsoil, and clay soils excavated from Cell 8 .4 Construction of compacted clay liner and composite lining system .5 Construction of leachate collection system .6 Connection of leachate collection system to existing leachate conveyance system via gravity drainpipe and new HDPE lined concrete manhole .7 Construction of access road and run-on control berm .8 Additional topsoil placement and regrading project area to promote positive drainage
