Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Working plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
**As of July 3, 2024 this project was never awarded and will rebid at some point in the future. The work consists of the construction of the new Department of Public Works Compound, as described and shown in the Contract Documents. This work includes, but is not limited to site improvements of an approximately 2.6-acre site which includes site grading, utilities, hardscape and landscape, and associated site improvements including material storage bins, fueling station, ramps, and salt shed. Construction of a pre-engineered Vehicle Storage Building (VSB) consisting of approximately 9,000 square feet (sf) and attached covered parking of approximately 14,000 sf. Construction and fit out of a pre-engineered Department of Public works Building (DPW) of approximately 21,000 sf which includes office space, vehicle repair shops, a wash bay, storage, and associated support program and equipment. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 5% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 5% Each Bidder must furnish, with their bid, Bid Security in the amount often (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid. This security may be in the form of a certified check payable to the SHLDC, a bid bond or cash. If a contract award is made, the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds from an acceptable surety company in the total amount ofthe awarded contract in the form included in the Contract Documents. Please note that a Maintenance Bond in the amount of fifty (50%) percent of the total amount of the bid will be required for a period of two (2) years from the date ofsubstantial completion. Any request for information and/or clarifications must be addressed in writing to Anthony Giaccio, Village Administrator, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York, 10591, (agiaccio@villageofeleepyhollow.org) and to be given any consideration must be received in writing by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 10th, 2023. Any and all such interpretations, and any supplemental instructions, will be in the form of written Addenda and will be emailed to all prospective Bidders. The failure of any Bidder to receive any such Addenda will not relieve the Bidder of any obligation under his Bid as submitted. Any Addenda so issued shall become part of the Bidding Documents. Reception of Addenda shall be noted on the Bid Form.
