BIDS for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of the SR 303 TRANSMISSION LINE REPLACEMENT AND W. CASE DRIVE WATERLINE REPLACEMENT FOR THE CITY OF HUDSON, OHIO The proposed work consists of 2 projects. The projects could be awarded to two (2) separate contractors or awarded as one (1) project to a single contractor, depending upon price. Contract 1 is the SR 303 Transmission Line Replacement and includes the installation of approximately 6,540 LF of new 16" watermain and its appurtenances along W. Streetsboro (SR 303) between the City of Hudson Water Plan and Boston Mills Road. The project also includes grout filling of the existing 16" asbestos cement pipe, 8" and 12" watermain side street connections, new house services, storm improvements, pavement striping and restoration in the City of Hudson, Ohio. Contract 2 is the West Case Drive Waterline Replacement and includes the installation of approximately 1,765 LF of new 8" watermain and its appurtenances along W. Case Drive between SR 303 and Lynn Drive. The project also includes new house services, cutting and capping of the old watermain and restoration in the City of Hudson Ohio, in accordance with the specifications which are on file in the office of the City Engineer. 5.Bids must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the ORC, in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the City of Hudson. 7.The City of Hudson, Ohio reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any nonconformities not involving price, time, or changes in the work.
