SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE: PERRY POINT BOILER WATER CHEMICAL & COOLING TOWER TREATMENT SERVICES This is a Sources Sought Notice; it is not a Request for Quote or Proposal. Maryland VAMC is seeking sources for "PERRY POINT BOILER WATER CHEMICAL & COOLING TOWER TREATMENT SERVICES" The anticipated date of a solicitation is April 1, 2023, with an expected period of performance Starting May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024, using NAICS CODE 333249, Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing. Vendors will not receive formal notification or feedback on any information submitted in this Sources Sought Notice. All future proposed submissions and solicitations requirements solicited on a Government Point of Entry (GPE) will be evaluated independently of any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. No vendor will be provided information on solicitations issued on a Government Point of Entry based on this Sources Sought Notice. Responses to this notice may be used in determining an appropriate set-aside. Requirements Below: PERRY POINT BOILER WATER CHEMICAL & COOLING TOWER TREATMENT SERVICES Scope of Work A. Chemical Water Treatment Vendor will provide services and products which are approved for this specific application. This is a need-based service, varied price maintenance, repair, and technical support agreement For the boiler plant, Vendor will provide a 25-40% alkaline catalyzed sodium bisulfite oxygen scavenger to remove dissolved oxygen from the feed water and boiler water which leads to pitting of system metallurgy. Vendor will also provide advanced polymer treatment, 25% active sodium hydroxide alkalinity treatment to help prevent deposition of minerals on the boiler heat transfer surfaces. Vendor will provide a triple blend of neutralizing amines (DEAE, Cyclohexylamine and morpholine) to neutralize the carbonic acid that naturally forms when steam condenses to a liquid. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
