Description

Site work for a road / highway in Safford, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.

This project is the replacement of the priority reject poles based on the pole testing that will be conducted in FY 2022. The poles will be scattered in different locations of the city. The most recent audit was completed in 2017, we anticipate the audit will find a lower number of reject poles. This project will be updated once the audit has been completed. The priority reject poles will be designed in FY 2023 and contracted in 2024. Estimates will be updated based on findings from the pole testing and design. As of March 24, 2023, this project is included in the City of Safford's FY 2022-2026 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
