Renovation of a transportation facility in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a runway / taxiway.
General Nature of Public Improvement 1. HIGH VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR FOR CONCOURSE 2. CONTRACT ID NO: 2023-06-70 3. DESCRIPTION OF THE IMPROVMENTS: Replacement of existing HVL switches with new HVLcc switches for Substation #2 located in Concourse A and Substation #4 located in Concourse C. Existing switch enclosures will remain to contain 15kV cables and new splice as required to connect to new switches. The existing high voltage feeder for existing Sub 2 and Sub 4 300kVA transformers will also be replaced with new. The Work generally consists of: New electrical equipment and circuits to support multiple electric vehicle charging stations. The equipment includes a new utility power service entrance conduit and transformer pad, exterior rated switchboard, metering and underground branch circuits. Civil site work includes reconfiguration of existing fence and cable barriers, new retaining wall for transformer and equipment pads, and EV charging station concrete pad and bollards. The Engineer's opinion of probable cost for the Work is $221,700 for Base Bid and $49,300 for Add Alternate #1.
