Site work, paving and remodeling of a mixed-use development in Laguna Niguel, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 824-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Restroom remodel including the construction of new handwashing stations, sidewalk concrete, plumbing fixtures, new flooring, lighting, painting. The project is located at 25191 Chapparosa Park Rd, Laguna Niguel CA 92677. All work shall be completed within 80 working days from the date of the Notice to Proceed with Construction Activities, anticipated to start June, 2023. BONDS. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashiers check, certified check or Bidders Bond issued by a Surety insurer, made payable to the City of Laguna Niguel and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid submitted. Personal or company checks are not acceptable. Upon Contract award, the Contractor shall provide faithful performance and payment Bonds, each in a sum equal to the Contract Price. All Bonds must be issued by a California admitted Surety insurer using the forms set forth in the Contract Documents. Failure to enter into the Contract with the City, including the submission of all required Bonds and insurance coverages, within 15 Days after the date of the mailing of written notice of contract award to the Bidder, shall subject the Bid security to forfeiture to the extent provided by law RETENTION SUBSTITUTION. Five percent (5%) of any progress payment will be withheld as retention. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300, and at the request and expense of the Contractor, securities equivalent to the amount withheld may be deposited with the City or with a State or federally chartered bank as escrow agent, which shall then pay such moneys to the Contractor. Upon satisfactory completion of the Project, the securities shall be returned to the Contractor. Alternatively, the Contractor may request that the City make payments of earned retentions directly to an escrow agent at the Contractor's expense. No such substitutions shall be accepted until all related documents are approved by the City Attorney. BIDDING PROCESS. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid or all Bids, and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid or in the bidding, as deemed to be in its best interest. Estimated Engineering Cost is: $300,000 The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the construction of the restroom facilities, including all incidental work described in the contract documents. B. The scope of work is contained in the contract documents. C. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Restroom repair / remodel and ADA compliance limited to the area of work. 2. New plumbing fixture at same location. 3. New covered lavatory area. 4. New restroom accessories. 5. New epoxy flooring. 6. New led lighting at same location and at new wash station area. 7. New power and plumbing to new wash station. 8. New ADA restroom signage and doors. 9. New concrete site work. 10. New drinking fountain. 11. New ADA parking striping and asphalt slurry. D. All work shall be in accordance with applicable codes and local regulations that may apply. In case of conflict in or between the Contract Documents and a governing code or ordinance, the more stringent standard shall apply. Q&A Deadline 03/24/2023 2:00 PM (PDT)
