Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 14,500-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to perform turnkey services for this project. The infield of Field 1 is approximately 14,500 sqft. Irrigation is available on Field 1. The contractor shall incorporate a soil mix suitable for a high-quality infield, set appropriate infield high point, and the best infield slope to promote drainage and a better infield/outfield transition zone. Turnkey renovation of the infield to enhance the quality of play, to improve drainage, and to provide the correct transition at the "lip" of the infield. This may include, but not be limited to: o Removing the base anchors, base plates, home base clay bricks and pitching rubber in the field and setting them aside for later replacement (making sure home plate is correctly aligned). o Using the attached installation procedures, establishing a 2-inch DuraEdge Classic cap on each infield (note that the 2" modified cap instructions will *not* be used). The amount of material needed is approximately 150 tons of DuraEdge Classic for the Valley Springs 1 infield. o Adding approximately 4 tons of DuraEdge 6x30 ProSlide Expanded Shale topdressing on Valley Springs Field 1 (1/8" application thickness). o Provide the best possible transition zone at the "lip" between the infield and outfield for safety and future maintenance. o Relocate and adjust the height of irrigation heads as needed after new infield elevations and areas are established. Reset the base anchors, base plates, home base clay bricks and pitching rubber in the field and dragging/lining the field after the field renovation is complete. o Provide DPR with finished elevation points for Field 1 infield.
