Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project will consist of an 1 1/2 " mill and overlay with a 9.5 mm superpave wearing course at the Quakertown Borough Hall parking lot, a new 10' wide walking path at the Quakertown Memorial Park with 2" of 9.5 mm wearing course, and the pavement of the Cemetery Road parking lot at the Quakertown Little League baseball fields with 2" of 2A stone and 3" of paving (2" superpave 19 mm base course and 1 1/2 " superpave 9.5 mm wearing course). All work on the new walking path at the Quakertown Memorial Park must be completed by June 19, 2023. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay electronically a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Quakertown. Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
