Utilization Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% Goals for minority participation in each trade: 12.5% The demolition of structures shall include the removal of identified structures and improvements, which includes appurtenances, foundations, floor slabs, basement floors, basement walls, water services lines, gas tanks, storage tanks, etc. The demolition also includes the removal and proper disposal of all debris and building material and the backfilling of each area so designated. Such demolition shall be performed in the following manner: 1. The building, foundation, curbs, sidewalks, concrete drives, and all appurtenances outside of the public Right of Way, shall be removed to one (1) foot below its current depth or as otherwise directed in writing by the City. 2. Concrete slabs atop basements, pits, wells or cisterns shall be broken and removed. Basement walls and floors including those where buildings have been previously removed shall be removed to one foot below their current depth, unless otherwise specified or directed by the City. 3. All debris and unsuitable material in basement areas shall be completely removed and disposed of by the Contractor. 4. All cisterns or open wells in the area of demolition and tank removal areas shall be treated in the same manner as set out for backfilling of basements. 5. Vehicles transporting loose materials or debris shall use a container or vehicle which is equipped with a lid or cover preventing the escape of any contents. 6. All wrecking, demolition, land clearing and backfilling shall be performed in a manner to be consistent with the provisions of Section 511 and Section 536 of the Revised Code, and Regulation 6-4 and Regulation 14-10 of the Indianapolis Air Pollution Control Board. All Work is subject to the approval of the State Commissioner of Buildings. 7. The Contractor shall comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations concerning notification of the presence of asbestos and asbestos removal. a. The City shall arrange for all asbestos testing and abatement to be conducted prior to issuing the Notice to Proceed. i. The City will provide Contractor with all asbestos inspection reports for structures that were found to contain asbestos contaminated material. b. If the Contractor encounters any suspected asbestos contaminated material, the Contractor shall halt demolition and contact the City.
