PEF000497 The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary to improve Pocket Park, including installation of brick planters, pavers, concrete sidewalks, and landscaping according to the plans and details in the specifications. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Nikki Thompson, City of Douglas Purchasing Department at purchasing@cityofdouglas.com , in writing no later than June 2, 2023. The work on the project must be completed by October 9, 2023 and within 90 consecutive calendar days of the date of notice to proceed. Bids can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Nikki Thompson, Purchasing Agent, City of Douglas, 123 W. Cherry Street, Douglas, Georgia 31533. All bids must have Pocket Park Phase II plainly marked on the outside of each bid. Bids received after the designated time will not be considered. The City of Douglas will select the lowest responsible bidder after evaluation of all bids. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond, made payable to the City of Douglas in the amount of at least five (5) percent of the lump sum bid. Separate contract Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount will be required from the successful bidder prior to execution of contracts. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract.
