Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in St Catharines, Ontario. Completed plans call for the demolition of a stadium; for site work for a stadium; municipal facility; municipal facility; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Corporation of the City of St. Catharines is inviting tenders for the demolition of Garden City Arena and CRCS office at 320 Geneva Street. Scope of work includes: 1. Garden City Arena: The intent of this project is to demolish both arenas, Jack Gatecliff and Rex Stimers, and all adjoining lobbies, office spaces, maintenance rooms, etc. which are located within the bounds of the property line. Demolition is to include all building components/services located above and below grade, as well as concrete/asphalt aprons which extend around building up until the extents of the property line. Demolition of the structure shall not interrupt the operation of, or cause any damage to, nearby roadways and businesses. Complete removal of below grade footings and foundations is to be completed. The site shall be graded, restored, and enclosed with jersey barriers at all entrances from roadways. 2. CRCS Geneva Street: The intent of this project is to demolish all buildings, including floor slab and footings, remove debris piles within the site, cap sanitary service, repair fencing and maintain existing paved area and storm drainage. Demolition shall include all building components/services located above and below grade. Demolition of the structures shall not interrupt the operation of, or cause any damage to, nearby roadways, businesses or dwellings.
