Renovation of a residential development in Miami Gardens, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The City of Miami Gardens requests applications from Contractors desirous of participating in its Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Programs for single-family detached housing. The City seeks to create a pool of qualified Contractors to perform owner occupied residential rehabilitation activities, which will include those projects that bring residences into Building Code compliance and provide decent, safe, and sanitary living environments. The City will request bids from the pool of qualified Contractors for each project and award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each project. The City reserves the right to accept applications from General Contractors and to add qualified General Contractors to the pool of qualified Contractors throughout the contract period. All projects will be operated through the City's Department of Community Development, and be federally or state funded through Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and State Housing Initiative Partnership Program (SHIP), respectively; as well as other federal, state, and local funded sources. The Qualified Vendors List may be utilized for various housing programs less than or equal to the current limits set forth by the City of Miami Gardens or the applicable housing program, whichever is more restrictive. Contract duration: One Time Purchase Contract renewal: 1 annual renewal Prices good for: 30 days Q & A deadline: Mar 30, 2023 5:00:00 PM EDT SCOPE OF SERVICES Technical specifications will be provided for each project and will be included in any request for bid. Specification may include but not be limited to; roof replacement, replacement of wood soffit and wood fascia, installation of accordion style shutters, replacement of exterior doors, exterior surfaces to be pressure cleaned and painted, insulation and HVAC. Most homes are alteration level one, and do not require a comprehensive set of plans. Most homes are three (3) bedrooms with one (1) bathroom and approximately 1200 - 1600 square feet. Some homes may require demolition of illegal structures. The normal duration of each project is 90 calendar days. Permits must be obtained within 30 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). The terms and conditions herein shall govern services procured through the Qualified Vendor's List (QVL) unless specifically altered in special instructions issued within the Quotation Request. Special instructions do not include those provisions on the pre -printed standard Quotation request terms and conditions form. See Attachment C for Contractor's Application, which must be submitted with the vendor's submittal package at the time this RFQ closes.
