1. West Warwick Public Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and to be the sole judge of quality and equality 2. Prospective bidders finding errors, omissions, or corrections that need to be made in the specifications shall contact the undersigned ten (10) days, or as soon as possible, before the offer is due. 3. Unit prices govern and must be extended. All prices must be typed or written in ink. Quotes written in pencil will not be accepted. Mistakes may be crossed through and corrections inserted adjacent and initialed by the person preparing the quotation. Should errors in multiplication or addition of a unit price against a total quote occur, the unit price shall govern for all purposes. To obtain approval of unspecified or "equal" materials or products, written requests from bidders shall be submitted to Kenneth Townsend Director of Facilities & Project Management and Rowse Architects care of James Partridge at least five (5) days prior to the day of the bid opening. Requests shall clearly state: 1) project name; 2) name of the specified product; 3) name of the proposed product for substitution and complete documentary literature, itemized in detail as to its equivalency or superiority to the specified product. If the product is accepted, its approval will be indicated in the addenda for all bidders to be notified. If no requests for equal or equal to or approved equal material are made within the stated time frame, then only those manufacturers' products and/or materials that were specified will be acceptable for use. Technical Specifications and Drawings - All Bid Proposal Forms and all related data that are to be included in your bid are included with this package as received. It is the Bidder's responsibility to obtain and verify all information required to Bid, prior to submission of your bid. To claim you did not know or did not understand is unacceptable. No objections with regard to the application, meaning, or interpretation of these specifications will be considered after the closing date of subject Bid. Bid may not be transmitted via the West Warwick Public School's facsimile machine. Prospective bidders must submit the entire package in a sealed envelope.
