As of May 3 the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established . The Nye County School District is accepting bids to replace all of the original equipment HVAC rooftop units at the J.G. Johnson Elementary School, 900 Jackrabbit St. Pahrump, NV 89048. Sealed bids are to be mailed to 601 East Calvada Blvd. Pahrump Nevada 89048, or dropped off at the Maintenance & Operations office at the same address. This project entails removal and disposal of 32 roof top package units and replacement with similar equipment. These units are located on the roof and some customization may be required. Access work needed to accommodate the project must be included in the bid. Detailed specifications must be provided in the bid for any proposed replacement parts, or if a different manufacturer is being proposed. The estimated cost of this project is $600,000.00. As such, it will be a prevailing wage job and the work is expected to be completed during the 2023 summer break. Contractors wishing to bid on this project must be currently licensed per Nevada Law. The award of the contract is expected to be April 27, 2023 following the Board of Trustees monthly meeting. This date may be revised by the District. Nye County School district reserves the right to reject any bid, and to accept the bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Nye County School District. The Nye County School District further retains the right to waive any irregularities within a submitted bid. Contact the project manager with questions.
