Site work and paving for a civil project in Rose Hill Acres, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This contract shall provide for street improvements for the City of Rose Hill Acres, Texas. The work will be conducted at multiple sites throughout Rose Hill Acres. This contract shall include all necessary labor, equipment, materials, safety measures, environmental protection, disposal of surplus items, disposal of hazardous waste if required, site regrading, site restoration and all other related construction for the street improvements. The contractor shall coordinate with City personnel prior to beginning any traffic control measures. It shall be the responsibility of the bidders to carefully inspect the site conditions to complete all work in accordance with the contract specifications. The Contractor shall use the materials specified, or materials of another manufacturer that are deemed equivalent in the opinion of the Engineer to the materials specified. In the event the Contractor desires to substitute the products of another manufacturer, he shall apply to the Engineer in writing at least seven days prior to the bid date requesting substitution and shall furnish with his request complete descriptive materials plus manufacturers recommendations for preparation and application. Contractor shall coordinate with City personnel prior to commencing work. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with the guidelines and procedures set forth within the Contract Specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: Subgrade Preparation (8" depth). Mix, pulverize, and Lime/Fly-Ash treat approximately 33,636 square yards of existing asphalt surface and subgrade to a depth of 8" to act as new base/subgrade. Asphalt Surfacing (1 1/2" thick). Install approximately 31,665 square yards. HMAC Type D asphaltic concrete including intersections and driveway turnouts. Furnish and install culvert crossings with concrete rip-rap on Dorothy and Morris. Removing and replacing miscellaneous driveway culverts and cleaning roadside ditches WARRANTY AND CLEANUP The Contractor shall provide warranty to the Owner for a period of one (1) year the road and culvert from the date of final acceptance to the extent that he will repair any defects which may appear in the roadway/structure due to faulty construction. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS 1. The Contractor shall pay close attention to the project schedule to ensure that the work is completed in a timely manner without delays. 2. Contractor shall restore the project site to its original condition or better, in accordance with environmental requirements, prior to the project completion and Owner;s acceptance. 3. Contractor shall coordinate all road closures and detours with City of Rose Hill Acres prior to starting construction and throughout construction.
