For any questions, please call Procurement Office, Amber Patterson, 508-862-4742, or email Amber.Patterson@town.barnstable.ma.us Vendor will provide equipment and manpower sufficient to remove a 10,000 gallon fiberglass underground storage fuel tank located at 140 Old Oyster Road in Cotuit Massachusetts. Removal will include the tank, immediate piping from the tank to the edge of the foundation, manhole covers and access flanges, and disturbed pavement. Once the tank is removed, a certified LSP, hired by the owner, will certify the removal as being "clean" and free from any evidence of leakage that would be classified as contamination. The construction vendor will take and dispose of the tank and any piping associated with the tank. Certified clean fill will be provided by the contractor and placed into the depression previously occupied by the Tank, and will smooth the ground to be level with the remaining pavement. If contamination or evidence of a release is found, work shall immediately cease, and notification shall be made by owners representative to the DEP for further direction and investigation. Notifications of any release will also be made to the Cotuit fire department and the Town of Barnstable Board of Health. The tank removal vendor will be responsible for contacting Dig Safe for an inspection prior to the tank removal. They will also be required to hire a utility locator service to locate any utilities in the general area of the construction. The contractor must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations regarding contaminated soil removal if any are found at the site associated with this tank removal.
