Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clinton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The purpose of this project is to separate storm water runoff from the combined (sanitary) sewer system in the vicinity of 8 th Avenue South in Clinton, from South 8 th Street and South 10 th Street. The project will include construction of 1506 lineal feet of new RCP and PVC storm sewer pipelines along 8 th Avenue South, between South 8 th Street and South 10 th Street, including sewers with diameters from 12" to 30", as well as construction of 16 new storm sewer structures. The project also includes full depth concrete removal and construction totaling 2455 square yards of 7" to 8" concrete street or driveway to be constructed as part of this project. Also included as part of the project are full depth concrete sidewalk and ADA curb ramp construction, curb & gutter replacement, various removals, earth excavation and removals, pipeline connections to existing sewer structures, traffic control, seeding, sub-grade stabilization, rock excavation, construction staking, and other related road and sewer construction appurtenances. The above work shall be commenced as soon as possible after the contract and bond have been approved by the City Attorney and have been signed by the Mayor and City Clerk. The notice to proceed for this project shall be issued on or before May 31, 2023. The early start date shall be June 5, 2023. The late start date shall be June 12, 2023. There will be fifty (50) working days for this project. The final completion date, which includes all seeding and punch-list items, shall thirty (30) days after the verified substantial completion date. There will be a bonus of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per day the project is completed early. Liquidated damages shall be per Special Conditions, and will be One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per day.
