The contractor shall utilize the pre-chlorinated pipe bursting method for the aforementioned pipe replacements. There is also approximately 800 feet of open cut/directional drilled HDPE SDR 11. Total water main replacement is approximately 7,050 feet. This work includes, but is not limited to, gate valve and well removal and installation, fire hydrant removal and installation, service line installation, HMA removal and replacement, curb & gutter removal and replacement, restoration and other miscellaneous items of work. The contractor will be responsible for supplying customers with a potable source of water if the water main that serves their property is off more than 12 hours. Special Note: The Drexelgate Parkway Water Main Replacement project needs to be completed in its entirety before starting the Rochester Knoll Subdivision Water Main Replacement Project. The restoration quantities for the Drexelgate Parkway project may decrease due to the construction of a public pathway immediately following the installation of the new water main.
