The West Vaughan Sewage Servicing (WVSS) Project was initiated to develop a sewage servicing plan for the communities in the west Vaughan area. The final servicing boundary, preferred sewage servicing solution, size, length and location of the gravity sewer were determined through an Environmental Assessment (EA) Study completed in 2013. The preferred design concept identified in the EA proposed the design and construction of a trunk sewer from Kleinburg Water Resource Recovery Facility to Humber Sewage Pumping Station ("SPS") (Construction Contracts B and C), and the expansion of the existing Humber SPS from a capacity of 1,700 L/s to 2,400 L/s (Construction Contract A), as further described in Appendix A - Particulars.
