Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Convert a 9,680 Square Foot Warehouse Space to Shop Space. The reconfiguration will include 9,680 square feet at the ground floor and add 4,840 Square feet of Mezzanine space. This will be a "Design Build" project. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The purpose of this requirement is to provide planning, labor, transportation, equipment, supplies, materials, management, and supervision for CONVERT WAREHOUSE TO SHOP SPACE FOR Building 3546 (B-3546) AT NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (NBSD) SAN DIEGO, CA. The primary work is to provide the following: Provide complete Architect and Engineering (A-E) design services (at minimum to include Architectural, Structural, Mechanical/Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Protection) and Construction for converting from existing warehouse to shop spaces at B3546. The newly renovated B3546 shall accommodate all the shops and shop functions as described within this Request For Proposal (RFP). All existing equipment at existing shops designated as "relocate" shall be by the Government, delivered by the Government to B3546 for Contractor (KTR) to install, connect, and startup. 1) Existing B-3546 is a steel frame metal siding structure and currently used as storage. 2) Government will remove all existing stored equipment, KTR will be responsible for removing any fencing(s) or wall(s) to accommodate the new design of the shop building. 3) The renovated B-3546 shall include the main (first) floor and add a new mezzanine. The first floor will include different shops, storages, load space, restrooms, and electrical room. The new mezzanine shall be mostly open storage spaces and an enclosed supply room. See part six (6) attachment for schematic layout and requirement of first floor and mezzanine. 4) Provide all roll-up doors, accessible stair(s), and accessible doors as required per building code(s) and per part six (6) attachments. 5) Provide minimum plumbing facilities UFC 3-420-01. 6) Provide complete new domestic waste/vent, cold/hot water, and natural gas systems to support the building. 7) Provide electrical room in compliance with NEC and UFC. 8) Provide new electrical service from adjacent sub-station to support the renovated B-3546. 9) Provide complete new electric service systems to support the entire building including lightings, receptacles, and equipment. 10) Provide complete new heating and ventilation systems for the building. 11) Provide new fire protection systems (including fire alarm and detection system, fire suppression systems, sprinkler systems) to accommodate the building and its new functions. Note: existing building already equipped with wet pipe sprinkler system. 12) Provide complete new dust collector and exhaust ductwork for the woodshop. 13) Provide compressed air piping system and outlets for shop usages connecting to government provided air compressor. The project is subject to prevailing wage and the Buy American Act. via email to the Contract Specialist assigned. Any RFIs submitted after the cutoff date may not receive a response.
