The Awarded Contractor shall provide a "Turn-key", comprehensive, design-build and construction service. Provide demolition and removal of the pumps, guides, supports, and piping. Modify the existing pump bases. Identify / design replacements based on City input and approval (with Xylem input to accommodate Flygt pump replacements). Procure all materials and install the new equipment. Provide demolition and removal of the existing VFD cabinets, identify / design replacements based on City input and approval, procure all materials, install the new equipment, test and verify operation. Perform short circuit analysis with the new equipment and provide ARC Flash potential and requirements. The City intends to standardize the use of Eaton equipment in this project, but discussions of comparable substitutions will be considered. Since this facility is operational, and will continue to process full flows and loads, all work will be in phases and will need to be scheduled with the City Project Manager. The Primary Contractor will be required to possess a valid California contractor's license (C-10) for the eligibility to submit a proposal The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any proposal or in the proposal process.
