1. The contractors quote will include all necessary materials and labor to remove damaged panels and make necessary repairs/replacement to existing panels in the medians. 2. In addition, the contractor will include all necessary materials and labor to install new fence panels, (posts, rails and spindles), connecting to the existing panels extending the overall length of the fence to establish a continuous metal fence in the medians from curb to curb. 3. Note the Fence Approach to the Tree Trunk is critical as the fence may become separated by a tree. (See Exhibit C) 4. It is recommended the contractor conduct a walk-through of the median described prior to submitting a quote. 5. While the Scope of Work tries to identify elements and quantities of the metal fencing, it is the contractors responsibilities to determine the actual materials, and other elements/color that would be needed to complete or make the project whole The City of Columbia is seeking quotes to provide construction services for the demolition/replacement and repair of the damaged/missing fence panels, (posts, rails and spindles), and the addition of new fence panels, (posts, rails and spindles). Work shall be performed during the hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM each weekday. No overnight barricading of highway lanes will be permitted. The City reserves the right to negotiate with any or all vendors or to make a split award. Quotes should be submitted initially on the most favorable terms.
