Renovations to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Lift Station 3. Addition of a stationary generator at Water Well No. 6 4. Addition of a stationary generator at the Wastewater Treatment Plant 5. Addition of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to the Wastewater Treatment Plant The District is soliciting bids for conveyance system construction services, generally for projects of an underground construction nature, on an on-call basis. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest total bid based on assumptions for types of labor and equipment. No specific scope of work is issued at this time, and no amount of work is guaranteed under this contract. All work must be completed according to specifications that will be issued on a per-Task Order basis. Projects may include open-cut combined sewer rehabilitation, open-cut sanitary sewer rehabilitation, manhole rehabilitation, frame and grate repairs or other work related to the District's wastewater conveyance system. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent ofthe bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Nixon or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu ofthe Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City of Nixon reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Nixon for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose ofreviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
